Apple has revealed the new emoji that are coming in the next update. But if you’re squeamish, look away now.
The company has shown off the faces that will be coming with an update to the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and everything else later this year.
Perhaps the most spectacular of the lot is a new vomiting face, which shows the yellow emoji spewing sick out of its mouth. That sick is depicted in intense and close attention – with a graphic illustration that some have criticised as being a little too much detail.
The vomiting emoji is just one of a range that also includes Woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person and Breastfeeding, and food items such as Sandwich and Coconut, Apple said. “More animals and mythical creatures like T-Rex, Zebra, Zombie and Elf are a fun way to describe situations and new Star-Struck and Exploding Head smiley faces make any message more fun,” it wrote in a post.
Apple boss Tim Cook showed off the new images in a post celebrating World Emoji Day.
The new pictures were shown off as part of Apple’s celebrations. That also included promotions in the App Store and a change to the iTunes shop that used emoji rather than words.
